Komala taught us something about the milonga "style":

We began with the leader facing back 45 to the wall and repeated this six-step figure...

Leader steps back on his right leg 45 anti-clock across and with the line of dance

Leader pivots 45 and steps to his left side along line of dance with no weight transfer

Leader closes his left foot back against his right and changes weight

Leader steps forward to right of follower across and with the line of dance

Leader steps to his left side along line of dance with no weigh transfer
 

4b

Leader closes his left foot back against his right, pivotting to face 45 back along the line of dance
